Dr. Tara Aghaloo

Dr. Tara Aghaloo is a distinguished Professor in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at UCLA School of Dentistry. She earned her dental degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and completed her Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency, MD, and PhD in Oral Biology at UCLA. As a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, she also serves as a board examiner for the specialty. Dr. Aghaloo maintains a dynamic clinical practice, specializing in bone and soft tissue regeneration, dental implant surgery, and osteonecrosis of the jaws. Additionally, she is actively involved in professional organizations, holding roles such as Associate Editor for the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Past-President of the Academy of Osseointegration (AO), and member of various AAOMS committees.
