Dr. Thanos Ntounis

Dr. Ntounis is a board-certified periodontist and a dual specialist in the fields of prosthodontics and periodontics. He received his DDS from the University of Athens Dental School in Athens, Greece in 2005. He went on to complete a prosthodontics residency and a master’s degree from the same institution. In 2013, Dr. Ntounis completed a periodontics residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). After being awarded a fellowship from the UAB Graduate School, he completed a second master’s degree in clinical dentistry. Dr. Ntounis has served as an assistant professor at the University of Louisville and received the prestigious Educator award from the American Academy of Periodontology in 2014. He has published 15 peer-reviewed papers in the field of implant dentistry. Dr. Ntounis lectures nationally and internationally while maintaining a private practice in Fredericksburg, VA.
